  5. can always depend on them in a pinch. The Seven Dwarfs are among
  6. Walt Disney's most lovable characters. So why are they making
  7. some residents of a California neighborhood grumpy? When Disney
  8. unveiled a new corporate headquarters in Burbank last week,
  9. onlookers were startled to see that its facade features 19-ft.
  10. statues of Dopey, Sneezy & Co. posing as if they were holding
  11. up the roof. The building is "an overbearing presence on
  12. surrounding neighborhoods," declared Michael Scandiffio, a board
  13. member of a Burbank homeowners group. But some residents think
  14. they can tolerate the overgrown dwarfs. "Disney's a good
  15. neighbor," says Thomas Murphy, a retired judge. "I say,
  16. different strokes for different folks."
